Technology

  1. Workstations
  2. • In standalone mode, the database uses Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express; in network mode, the workstation should have access to the SQL Server (via I.P. Address)
  3. • Requires Microsoft Windows 7 or better
  4. • Current version of Microsoft Windows (i.e. most recent service packs and security updates)
  5. • Pentium class processor or better
  6. • 800 MHz / 512M RAM
  7. • Industry standard installation or Microsoft ClickOnce installation
  8. • Runs on a Mac using Windows compatibility software
  9. • Runs in stand-alone or network mode
  10. • Approximately 10-15K per student storage requirements
  11. • Network connections needed for automatic download of newest code from the Nurse's Aide website
  12. Server
  13. • Database uses SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 Express, or better)
  14. • Requires Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or better (up-to-date version)
  15. • Pentium class PC processor or server (recommended). Note: Nurse's Aide does not require its own server – it may 'piggy-back' on an existing SQL Server installation
  16. • 1.4 GHz / 1G RAM (2G recommended; for over 20 schools, 4G RAM is recommended)
  17. • Approximately 10-15K per student storage requirements (i.e. any size hard drive will probably work)
